Colorado Employment Verification Law Repealed

On June 8, 2016 Governor Jock Hickenlooper signed HB 16-1114. Previously Colorado employers were required to maintain a separate form in addition to the Federal I-9 requirements that they had examined documents to confirm that the person was authorized to work legally. The new law repeals the duplicate reporting requirement for Colorado employers. The full test of the law can be found here.
